Adi Shankara stated that the lotus stands in the navel of Vishnu,

universe. The lotus here symbolizes the cause of the universe. Lord
Vishnu is free from birth and death. He is endless, omnipotent,
omnipresent and omniscient. Therefore, the entire creation is present
