*USA ratings are based on evaluations done by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). An alternate form of testing called PennHip is growing in popularity in the USA; however, it is not currently widely available. The PennHip organization does not have a Web site, but an article explaining the testing can be found at Dog Owner's Guide. Another web site, Workingdogs.com, has compiled several articles on hip dysplasia that may be of interest.
