Nazgûl

Nazgûl (Úlairi) are the nine ringwraiths controlled by Sauron. "Nine for mortal men doomed to die" is an extract from LotR that referrs to the ringwraiths who could not control the power given to them. They are Sauron´s slaves doomed to to run his errands for all eternity. They can only be wounded with weapons blessed with elvish magic, ordinary weapons can not hurt them. The first nazgûl is the Witch-king and the second is Khamûl the easterling; the rest are unknown, although it is known that at least three of the nine nazgûl were black númenóreans. Nazg means ring and gûl means wraith.
